And whilst I am at it. The italian try and win in Cardiff today more than justifies their continuing presence in the six nations.

It’s refreshing to see the game played like that. I laughed when I saw that kid for the first time.
 
Not a great day for English rugby today. The union women losing the World Cup final in NZ, then the league blokes losing their World Cup semi-final to Samoa. The latter was a good game, but they rather bodged it in extra time.

Not sure why the played it in London (at the Death Star of all places), it's more a northern game still, Shirley?

They are still going to be a rootless franchise until they go back to west london.

Worcester is a sadder story, as they were the heart of their local community
 
I guess part of the problem is that all 4 london clubs are closely located - Harlequins and London Irish at Twickenham, Wasps at Brent and Saracans at Hendon.

But moving them just makes them orphaned franchises like MK Dons.

Six nations 2025 starts on Friday.

Rugby is a sport beset with deep problems but this is still great entertainment and the last year it’s on the beeb - few will pay to watch on subscription channels - not that the chief executive of rugby England cares.

France V Wales on Friday 20:15
Scotland V Italy on Saturday 14:15
England V Ireland on Saturday 16:45

Hard to see past France this year.
 
Watch out for Sam Prendergast. He is only breaking through for Leinster but has a 'generational talent' vibe about him.
