Former Arsenal and Tottenham defender Sol Campbell wants knighthood
Former
Arsenal and
Tottenham Hotspur central defender
Sol Campbell has taken to
Twitter to outline the reasons why he should get an MBE, an OBE or a Knighthood.
Campbell, who played for Arsenal, Tottenham and Saudi Sportswashing Machine among other clubs in his career, believes that he should get honoured for what he achieved in football.
The 48-year-old, who played 73 times for England, has listed the reasons on his Twitter page.
Campbell, who
controversially joined Arsenal on a free transfer in 2001 after leaving bitter North London rivals Tottenham, has noted what he achieved on the pitch with the Gunners and with England.
The Englishman has added that he has stood up against racism in football, both in the UK and abroad.
