Robin Williams RIP

Tragic. Absolutely loved him.

As someone who grew up watching Mork & Mindy, along with Happy Days, this was such a shock this morning. Suicide is terrible, hate to think what he was going through in the days leading up to this. Poor bugger.

Very sad to hear this, his films were a common place in my childhood. RIP mate

Btw, is it just me whose noticed that comedians always seem to be the most depressed people?

It's more that the depressed (or those susceptible to depression) turn to comedy, rather than comedians becoming depressed as I understand it.

One memory that sticks out, I think it was the Golden Globes and an award winner wasn't present to collect their prize (in the toilet or something). While waiting for this person to show up, completely unprovoked and improvised, Williams gets up and speaks into the microphone and had the place in stitches.

A room full of Hollywood heavyweights and they all lapped him up and it was completely NOT corny or lame (like the rest of the awards show can be).

Would love to find footage of that again. He was truly one of a kind.

Terrific actor when not doing his comedy roles, something he doesn't get too much credit for, a terrible loss. Condolences.

RIP robin!
