Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

Always find it strange when still sign a player with the new guy in charge that we were going to sign when the old manager was here.

It's not that strange - transfer departments mean that there are targets/deals that are identified & worked on across managerial appointments, new manager will get the option to pursue these deals should he wish to

This x 100
He has said we could win all the remaining games
He hasn’t said anything negative
It’s simple I guess but some people are brutally negative and cautious
Some are positive and brave
I think De Zerbi is handling everything brilliantly.

BUT, let's be honest, if you're called in for a last 7 game rescue job....you ain't bringing caution or negativity.

It'll be interesting to see how De Zerbi goes at things next year, with a longer horizon .

Dunno
We have had a manager who started his career saying we will lose games
That’s how someone chose to start…
Then we had Tudor in for the rescue and he was hardly good vibes and positivity either
You have it in your methods or you don’t

Here’s a thought, one that involves me getting ahead of myself somewhat - Manager of the Season if he keeps us up?
Nah, it will be Arteta, even if they complete the quadbottle.

It will be a great feat if he keeps us up, but too few games to get a manager of the whole season award.

Interesting that he's said he really hasn't much specific information about Dejan's condition. Hopes he could be back for the last game or two but has no information to be confident about that, though hopes Dejan will be back at the club this week. Thinks (obviously) it would be hard for him to make the World Cup if he's not been able to play at all for us.
He was really good in talking about not being arrogant enough to think that after two wins he can now think we are safe and he can think about next season, whether Vicario will still be here etc

In the context of what he came into, it will be one of the best achievements of any Spurs Manager in the PL era imho
What’s also great, if we stay up he will have so much goodwill that he’ll basically be the golden boy. This will def help with overall positivity and confidence in the team going forward.
