Honestly I don’t get some on here. For years we have not backed the manager like this and most had their arms in the air. Now that we have finally backed a manager and we have had some poor results but shown some green shoots in the process; we don’t need to over analyse everything.
It’s going to be a tough situation to turn two years of being relegation fodder into winning the premier league. Some really need a reality check. This is not championship manager where you buy players and they gel on stats alone and climb up the league winning game after game.
For all the money we have spent and recouped, we have over hauled the team including the management.
It’s now down to the manager and the big personalities to start kicking on. If we don’t back the manager and take a few on the chin in the process then I really dont understand what some expect.
I don't think many/any? Are upset about backing the manager and showing that we are prepared to spend big in doing so on individual players - these are main the positive takeaways from the window.
But spending big and backing the manager doesn't win you games - you need the team & squad assembled to do that and this where i think the question marks are. I see a great deal of turnover but not a lot of improvement.
