Livermore decent - 6/10

The rest were brick but honorable mentions to Sig (why buy him? brick - one of those great for six months so lets buy him type of footballer - like i said all fudging long) and Walker (a sprinter not a footballer)

Strange, you are one of the few to give Livermore any credit. There seems to be a lynch mob forming against him at them moment.
 
Worst three today were:

Walker - why is he in the team? can't defend, can't cross, can barely pass.
Defoe - the usual
Livermore - invisible apart from the free kick

He wasnt amazing dont get me wrong but he was far from the worst. At least he plays with a bit of passion which you could tell.

Sandra today was fudging awful.
 
Livermore doesnt play with passion. He just doesnt play at all?

Some say the same thing about dawson, "he plays with passion".

Aslong as players of that level, will be playing, we cant expect to win games.

As I always say about Livermore, has the passion, the energy, the work rate and the heart. Doesnt have the footballing basics - passing, tackling, shooting. You cant teach a player those basis skill shen they're 20. You can teach things like positioning, work rate, etc etc
 
Problem for AVB is that the Chelsea experience hangs over him. It is in the minds of many Spurs supporters and means he will not get the benefit of the doubt he would have got, had he come straight from Porto. Then there is the club's recent high finishes in the league. Imho he has a good enough squad, he needs to get the best out of them by being a bit more imaginative rather than keep playing 2 holding (why was dembele on the bench rather than in the starting line up?). We desparately miss Leds and look so shaky at the back despite playing two holding midfielders! Really want AVB to suceed too many false dawns and all that.

Attack - poor til Ade came on. Defoe is needs to move to a club that plays the ball in front of him to shoot.
Midfield - Bale and Lennon needs to keep to their respective wings for effect. Dembele showed how you can contribute from the centre by supporting and scoring, but could not take advantage of a lennon on the left who kept cutting back to his favourite fooot
Defence - yesterdays goal was livermore's fault for giving them the opportunity late in the game, but as time goes on we seem to gradually collapse back into our own half without proper counter attacking threat so the opposition could just camp in our half and pick their options

Referee - WORST REFEREEING ive seen in ages. it was a penalty for us. it wasn't a red card. Norwich was dirty pulling and pushing on and off the ball and escaped any attention.
 
BF - 8 Some great saves rescued our point. MOM to be dropped next week.
KW - 5 Poor crossing and indecision going forward.
WG & JV 6 Solid enough pairing - JV good bringing the ball out.
BAE 5 solid but had the invisible men in front of him.
JL & SR 4 These two should not both be starting at home. Versus Norwich.
GB & AL 4 swapped it about to see which could be most ineffective on both flanks.
GS 4 Poor set pieces. We've ruined him already.
JD 3 Little service, but what he got was spurned with a tinkle poor first touch.

AVB 3 Levy's third choice for the job continues to look out of his depth in the EPL. The Chairman's failure to back him with his targets in the window speaks volumes. 2 points from 8 beckons, then what?

Interesting that people are finally starting to think my way about Walker. Especially considering the personal abuse I took on this forum early last season for daring to suggest Walker wasn't a good defender.
