Villa? Yeah I think we dilly-dallied on his transfer and paid the price (or rather didn't) and I think he said as much in an interview afterwards. I was rather gutted we didn't get him but have been pleasantly surprised at our transfer activity since.

I think so as it meant our striker targets became Benteke and Soldado, so we couldn't spend as big elsewhere(Chadli instead of Bernard for example). I don't know why we haven't gone in for Eriksen, ITK suggested that AVB doesn't want him and that he's a player put forward by Sherwood.

Definitely on the money, but I was more thinking the speed which we have acted on the other transfers. It is a bit un-spurs like. Maybe the influence of Baldini is another reason for our proactivity.

On Eriksen, I saw him play twice in the Danish team at Euro 2012 and he was anonymous both times. So I'm a bit meh on him though it is not based on just these matches. I don't watch Dutch football.

Spend big? Expensive? Please when you compare prices for players, you have to add on the wages and deduct what we'd sell them for in 3 years' time.
