I didnt know about his cancer. He looked really well in the football italia documentary a few years back - he actually looked younger in it than he did in the 90s (his hair job was obviously helping)
 
She was brilliant. So, so many things you could pick as great performances but for some reason the Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne sticks in my memory. Probably late 80s, maybe early 90s. A very sad/depressing tale but she was just amazing in it.

Maggie Smith, such a versatile actress, she had great comic timing, utters one of my favourite lines in a movie when playing a parody of Nora Charles in murder by death,
"Has anyone seen my dingdongie?"
RIP.
