Glenda's Legs
Paul Walsh
Extremely sad. She came across as quite a troubled person. But what a voice she had.
RIP Sinéad.
RIP Sinéad.
She had an absolutely amazing voice. There were a lot of mental health issues and she was also dealing with the loss of her son last year. Not too much of a shock, unfortunately, but tragic.
Saw her live at The Mandela Hall in Belfast in 1988, with Andy Rourke (also recently passed away) and Mike Joyce - both formerly of The Smiths - on bass and drums respectively. Cracking gig.
The first two albums were absolute belters.
Morrisey has gone full blown mentalist about her death, saying that all the tributes are disingenuous

Just heard about Robbie Robertson passing. I have seen his band play on several occasions both with Dylan and with the group. RIP

Still enjoy watching repeats of his show. One of the best.

Never took to the guy, my missus thought he was great, never missed his shows.
The longer format interviews were really good, compared to the ADHD zoo format ones you get today. It was much more in-depth one guest, one hour etc. I was fairly ambivalent to him though.

The talent he had around him in the early years helped a lot, way more interesting to listen to than the plastic idiots these days.
