Preseason 2014

Will hardly be any senior players there I suspect, apart from Ambrose who got sent off today and maybe their 2nd choice GK.

Training gallery pictures from today show Adebayor back on the pitch, so hopefully he hasn't lost too much fitness. Couldn't see any pics of Chiriches though

Is our next game on Saturday?

The intrigue now is how Poch integrates the WC players towards a first 11!

Daresay we shouldn't read TOO much into it but the Spurs vs Chicago tv audience trumped all the games mentioned involving Prem clubs - Arsenal/NY Red Bulls, Liverpool/Olympiacos and City/AC Milan, plus Rangers/Yankees. \o/

COYS !

Last night's friendly between City and Liverpool at Yankee stadium drew a bigger crowd than any Yankee game has this season.

49653 in a 50291 capacity stadium. Yankees average 42K, but have hit heights of 48K.

It's always skewed because they play up to 4 home games in a week. If they played once or even twice a week, they'd likely sell out every game.

Seem's as though Carroll is not in Poch's thoughts.

Squad for Tottenham's XI

Spurs XI squad: Voss, Ball, McQueen, Lesniak, Sonupe, Winks, Miller, Onomah, Lameiras, Carroll, Ceballos, Oduwa, Akindayini, Obika, Coulibaly.

I dont think he impressed in US, and I guess he isnt Poch' type of player. Good with the ball, but not without it. Loan to the Championship again? The clock is ticking, wouldnt be surprised at all if he wont make it in the PL.

Back eventually from the North American Tour( delayed plane /work/ jet lag ). I had a great time. Met some fantastic Tottenham supporters, who know their stuff. Some may have come to the game late, but they are certainly catching up and embracing the history of the club. The best game and training session was Seattle and the best supporters evening was Toronto, the venue was more conducive to the event. Ledley, Steffan, Kasey, Paul S and Brad worked their socks off. Ledley and Steffan left the Seattle event long after I did and I left late. Ledley also left minus his Tottenham wristband, whic appears to have made it back to Scotland with me!! My only complaint.. The distance from the centre of Chicago to the Chicago Fire ground.nothing around the ground except frequent long freight trains.

I forgot to mention the Sounders fans march to the stadium with a full blown marching band (Sheffield Wed band it ain't!). Just imagine walking down the High Road to WHL en mass in the middle of the road. The Met Police would freak. Great experience. Thank you USA and Canada

Absolute waste of talent. I feared this from Pochettino. He's got more interest in athletes like Rose than proper ball players.

Players competing for completely different positions, don't see the connection really.

Considering the sheer number of players fighting for a midfield spot, it's not exactly surprising. Hasn't shown anything special this preseason. Mason has though and looks like he'll be with the first team tomorrow.
