Predict The Run In

If it comes down to the last game I can see Roman going in for Moyes and Fellaini just to distract them.

I'll say it again, we'll all be Saudi Sportswashing Machine fans on the last day of the season.

We'll lose at Chelsea, and we'll need 3 wins from our 3 other games. 2 home games should be fine but tricky one will be stoke away.

So thats 9points.

Arsenal will beat Qpr and Wigan, thats 6points.

Now last day of the season, if arsenal draw at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, they are above us on goal difference. If they lose, we'll be 4th.

As Harry says: "If we'd got smashed every week I'd be the first to hold my hands up. It shouldn't be hard to keep the players motivated for the final four games. I'm motivated. I left home at six o'clock this morning."

QPR win nailed on next weekend.

I really don't think Wigan at home is a banker 3 points. They won 2-1 at the Emirates this time last season, they'll no doubt be needing a win(not that that means they will win). I wouldn't want them as one of our final games, at least Southampton and Stoke are relatively safe and Sunderland probably will be too by the last day.

I think some need to take the blinkers off. We are probabaly nailed on to finish outside the top 4 now.

Away to Wigan on the same weekend when Arsenal were facing Man utd, yet we needed an own goal just to get a point. Is that not similar to last season on the scenrio with the Aston Villa game?

And yet, somehow that translates as us winning 3 of our 4 remaning games against teams who are better than Wigan -
Yeah, right.....

Don't normally comment on these predicition threads, but I'll give it a go:

Southampton (H) win
Chelsea (A) defeat
Stoke (A) draw
Sunderland (H) win

Like, if we were to play the defending champions there's no way we could possibly get anything off them.

Forget the fixtures, are we playing better than Arsenal and Chelsea right now?

I'm confident of beating Chelsea, but I also fancy us to bottle it in the at least one of the 3 other games.

Impossible to call. Thing is on our day we can beat anyone, we haven't really played well for a while but we turned it on against City and got a win that i wasn't expecting before the match. Typical of us to then face Wigan, be gifted an early goal and then struggle to come away with a point. Can only take it one game at a time. Beat Southampton we are in a strong position and pressure is on the others.

This season reminds me of two seasons ago when everyne seemed blind to our deficiencies and also though Emirates Marketing Project would 'bottle it in the run in....

I distinctly remember Mumorn (imo at the time treading the fine line of being hopelessly optimistic and being totally deluded) really having a belief that that would happen. I don't think even he would rate our chances now..

Based on the run-in predictor I just did on the BBC site, Saudi Sportswashing Machine may need something out of the game to be sure of staying up - it would be great for us if they were playing for survival on the last day.

For me the goal difference says it all. We are again behind these teams. We lack quality.

It may be a cliché but it is 'worth a point' at the end of the season and I can see us missing out on goal difference to Chelsea, but we need to beat them to give ourselves the possibility of being so close and so far to CL at their hands for another season:(

Each weekend gets bigger and bigger. Next Saturday is massive, we go first again, this time we really need to win and put the pressure on for the following two hours.
And this time I would say its a 'must win'

If.......we don't get top 4, would you prefer to give up 5th to Everton as well so we don't have to play Europa?

No agenda here, just asking......

The difference between CL and EL is the money and all the hype, but I'd take European football over nothing every time. Just think back to the late 90s/early 00s on what it's like it not to have it.

there is certainly a correlation between thursday night games and generally considered dropped points on the following weekend, when you look at the difference a couple more points would make it's tempting to say to hell with europa

Wouldn't there be the same correlation between Wednesday - Saturday or Saturday - Tuesday for the team in the CL?
