Pre Season Thread

tbf to him

He's grown into the game with the balls into him as well
From whenever I've seen him if you give him decent service he will score you goals. Our attacking play in recent times has been poor, and it's highlighted his attributes that aren't as good.

Have a team that attacks well and he will get plenty of goals....

Yeah. Two things he’s consistent with, always puts in a shift, and give him chances and he will score.

His weakness is he can’t create chances for himself (like Kane) but v few strikers can.

Would have him above Solanke for me. I’d actually like to sell Solanke and have Richy as backup to a new guy.

HT observations

- Our passing is literally levels above anything we have had in several seasons. Our players are much more comfortable receiving the ball in tight spaces, quick passes, and going for the aggressive first pass (won't see any stats about Spurs lack of progressive passes this season)
- Tonali is a hell of a player, especially off the ball
- Robertson doing what we expected, good option against teams that aren't pressuring us, whole sequence for our goal was great
- Bergvall looking good, all action, the receive from Kinsky under pressure and turn out of it was fudging filthy. Taking shots as well. Looks to have improved both physically and technically
- Richi doing Richi, probably should have had 3, but gets one in.
- Tel double marked but managed to get a good cross in
- Moore in and out, but put a great cross in that either Richi or Tel should have done better with.
- Gallagher usual, works hard but being shown up by others

Could be 3-0 easily, hard to judge, would expect Porro, VDV, Fernandes alone would make a significant difference

Berg has done really well twice now in beating his man and creating space in dangerous areas, but then shot instead of taking the pass to a player in a better area.
I've always found him to be rather greedy and lack end product at the critical moments.

However, I really like him - he is very talented on the ball and he does actually have a good shot on him. Plenty to work with at his young age, definitely rather he wasn't sold (although appreciate it is a case of him wanting to leave more than us wanting to sell)....

Just realised that Sarr, Solanke, Udogie, Vicario, Maddison, Kudus and Fernandes are all sitting opposite me on the upper level of the stadium. Hope they aren’t all still missing next week (outside of the obviously injured).
