Pre Season 2016

Things of note from us are that we are typically trying to play it out from the back and our midfield are all offering good movement to give the defence passing options.
 
McGee, Ball and Edwards on.... for Vorm, Winks and Janssen. I think Chadli has gone up front with Ball taking over from Winks as the holding midfielder.
 
Good stuff overall, we matched a team that was in the CL final. With our reserves. Deserved to win but then AM always win 1-0 from a set piece, no surprise there
 
Decent performance. Highlights were Janssen's performance especially his hold-up and link-up play. Lamela also looked hungry. Of hte younger players, Winks was the stand-out
 
No surprise that our decent play disappeared once Caroll, Mason, Chadli and Son came on.

At one point Son lost the ball for the upteenth time and Poch just turned his back on the pitch and walked away head down.

The new kids are excellent. CCV looked better, Walkes defended well but his distribution was dodgy. Winks was very impressive, Edwards looked to pass the ball quicker and did well.

Janssen looked sharp too, so unfortunate with the free kick. Oblak is simply up there with the very best keepers in DeGea and Neur.

Even his biggest critics have got to admit that Mason was one of the best players today. A big step up from Eriksen's first half performance.

Winks, Mason, Janssen and Wanyama all stood out. I think Winks might be answering the Bentaleb questions.
 
Two hugely under strength teams and we looked well, woudl love to see us against them at full strength v ours, would be a tasty game

A Madrid were not hugely under strength! ! I think only Griezmann was missing from their best line up

Lloris is the next level below. I class Neur as no1, then Oblak and DeGea below, then comes Lloris with a few others like Courtois who is better than that but is out of form atm. When he is at his best like he was at A Madrid and his first season at the bluescum then he is up there with DeGea.
