Politics, politics, politics

She does get disproportionately slated, I agree. She's said some stupid things in the past and can come across badly. But she did vote against the Iraq War and flagged up problems that would lead to the Windrush scandal, at the time the government was making those policy changes. So she's got a lot more sense than people give her credit for, like her or not.

She was also right on the roots of knife, gun and acid attacks in London which sit mainly with black on black related gang violence

But she is on crack when it comes to this in my opinion and she can not talk in public without making a tit of herself. If you think that disproportionate then GHod help us

In today's other political news, Corbyn has rambled about the benefits of Brexit, because we will be able to build choo-choo trains in Birmingham again, and Dominic Raab was just claiming to the Brexit Select Committee that he wasn't planning to put a hard parting in the Red Sea (while delivering the British people to a land of milk and honey, presumably) when it emerged that he'd been demoted and the Cabinet Office was formally taking over negotiations.

So, we're still fudged.

We don't the US do and so therefore I don't see how its an issue for us other than the fact they are British. The fact is the band formally known as Jihadiwaddy or the beatles or whatever they called themselves should have read the T&Cs of where their actions would take them? Had their hide out been stormed and killed on the battle field I doubt there would be much out pouring of grief and I maintain that stance now.

If they do get the hard punishment the theory of UK views on the death penalty will be put to the test, if you and your mate on here are right I expect no less than out pourings of rage and tears from the UK, however I expect not. This isnt the Green Mile
This is not about the US having the death penalty, lots of informative posts in response to yours explaining what the issue is.

I always thought the death penalty was around 50/50 in the UK its one of the things that makes me thankful we do not have direct democracy.

Personally thought brexit was about reducing rights for immigrants who work in the UK, then move on to environmental restrictions (clean air/water etc) before removing in work rights for nationals .. Moving towards a US way of life

Was today the last day of Parliament before their summer holidays? May has waited until today to basically say "phuck Moses Raab, it's me (well, Olly) who'll be doing the Brexit negotiations."

And so she clings on past the summer...

Have you ever seen something so ridiculous?

Is it all part of the new Raab bluff? Show we're preparing for a hard exit, to try and get the EU to agree to our terms? If so seems like playing with fire. The EU call Raabs bluff - and they have not as much to lose as we do in fact they lose if they give in - and the UK will be downgraded over night. It could take decades to rebuild the damage. But then Ress-Mogg knows this. 50 years apparently. Meanwhile his investment funds have been moved into the EU in Ireland. You couldn't make it up.

Does anyone believe in this brexit charade anymore? Does the UK have to suffer the pain of a limp soft brexit or perilous hard one, before people wake up? Or can the UK avert this at the pass? Finally, why are many of our politicians gutless or stupid, unable to articulate what is best for the UK, and poorer people in parlicar? Are politicians so afraid of losing their jobs, that they are unable to show any leadership on what is best for the nation?

Nailed it.

Just look at what Trump is doing to the US and nobody lifts a finger. Not sure which country is screwing itself over the most.
