I suspect you can find as many (if not more) people that dislike the atmosphere of "English" pubs more than they do Halal stores. I do and I'm entirely against Halal in principle. I'm far more concerned about the cash for gold, pound shops and bookies that spring up next to Halal stores whenever an area goes to sh1te.e-mail to a friend..
Hi John/
I have seen a lot of possible B & Bs in Birmingham. There are a lot in the City center..problem
would be too far away from you.
OK we'll change it for now and arrange a date when we meet.
I'm in sunny London now ..at my Mums. I don/t like London anymore!..I just doesn't feel the same//how it used to be. There aren't any English shops or anything. There used to be three Cinema's near here at the Bakers Arms Pub Leyton,.Off-course that's long gone along with the Cinema's . Everything is Halal this and Halal that. Some off the people are OK but the atmosphere's changed.
You're allowed to claim racism whenever you like. What you appear to be doing though, is wrongly conflating English with white. Sol Campbell is English. He's also a qunt because he trivialises a worthy and hard-fought cause by playing the race card when there's no card to play.just a comment on that ad. To me that Sol Campbell ad is Racist against the English..oops not allowed to use that anymore.
Politicians have made some terrible decisions regarding immigration - some clearly intentional. Immigration in itself wasn't the mistake though, multiculturalism was. By not inviting integration the Labour party have created a "them and us" attitude on both sides. Very useful for them because when you add it to the vast swathes of postal vote fraud then they only need to win over a handful of community leaders to secure the votes of every adult in that community. Our country has gone!
admitted the English working class never had anything much accept their communities where they lived.
Politicians invited people from other countries here for their own reasons.
There was definitely not a democratic vote from the people!
You're allowed whatever opinion you want, it just happens that yours is wrongNo doubt i'll get slagged down on this as if i'm not allowed a right for an opinion !
and that is the scary thing.

I expect most of us have immigrant genes in our family, I know for a fact half of mine is Scottish and the other half are almost certainly French
it's not where you come from, it's how you behave once you are here that matters
If you don't mind me asking, what are the details here? I thought ILR was just that - indefinite. The vilification of migrants in this country makes me angry to live here.
My wife has lived here appx 10 years, paid the same NI & tax as anyone else, contributed more to Britain than most Brit's i know and now we have to pay £660 to get a new permit so she can accept a new job, just because her indefinite leave to remain is in an expired passport.
I fudgeing hate the Tories and despise anyone that even acknowledges UKIP.
If you don't mind me asking, what are the details here? I thought ILR was just that - indefinite.
Sounds like a c0ckup all round really. No problem - I will happily share.
ILR is just that - indefinite.
So, her visa is in the passport she had when granted ILR ( 3 years after temporary leave to remain). To gain ILR you have to pass the life in the UK test, go to an interview and pay appx £500 (that was 7 yrs ago).
Her passport expired ( as passports do), so to enter the country now she presents her expired passport (Inc ILR) and valid passport - the two documents together creating proof of identity and status. This was also sufficient to prove working rights, along with NI card.
Appx a year after we completed ILR, biometric residents permits (BRP) were made part of the process. It is a credit card sized card with finger print, photo, height etc on. Which is fine - I can see why that's a good idea.
Since May last year, and with little/no communication, it became a legal requirement for employers to see an immigrants BRP to be able to employ them ( the aforementioned two passport combination is still valid for port entry though).
She just got a new job offer and unfortunately their HR actually know what they are doing, so insist on her having a BRP.
The express service, which still takes a few weeks and involves a fun trip to Croydon, is £660.
Her documents are valid to enter the country. Her status is unchanged.
We have already gone through the two stages of visa's - TLR and ILR ( note to all- migrants with temporary leave to remain have no resource to public funds - despite paying into them)
She has been unemployed for a total of 6 weeks in ten years.
So yeah, its just a hogwash tax on migrants.
Don't even get me stated on the new fees no EU migrants have to pay towards the NHS.
I'm genuinely considering voting UKIP and encouraging all migrants to leave - I'd give the NHS about two weeks before it collapsed and the rest of country 6 weeks. See how much the feckless Brit's miss the migrants then
i'm not sure its just a migrant thing, where I work people have to bring their passport on day 1 or they are not allowed into the building, GHod knows what happens if you just don't have a passport
