Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

One of my very favourite ever bits of this show. For the record, I believed him (it is Bob Mortimer after all) and was still STUNNED when he said it was true!

I love it now that Mitchell is forever thrown by Mortimer...and can't trust him for one second about anything he says.

Some of the chemistry on the show is magical. (And hilarious!!)

The Chris Rea/egg in the bath story is probably the highlight. 😀

Pretty sure Mitchell finally got one right about Mortimer after getting it wrong every time before. Love how much is stresses him out trying to decide if Bob is lying or not 😂

I just don't get brick like this.

Yes, rules are rules but human compassion, let alone plain old logic, tell you her life is in Sweden. She's old, I assume not a burden on the state etc.

And really just because of some flimflam referendum and having Boris negotiate a deal for you.

4 weeks to get out wtf?

It was always a nonsense that he would get anywhere near occupying Downing Street. The more that he’s been subjected to normal standards of media scrutiny the more his whole scam has been exposed.

He's a boogeyman, vote for us or you could end up with him.
I mean we're bad, but we're not as bad as him is really what the establishment is saying.

Voting day tomorrow, and I get to toddle off to my local church hall to put a cross in a box to support a space alien who wears a bin on his head to become the responsible adult making decisions for my town because I don’t want the jumped up, millionaire, lying bigot. What a world.

(Spoiler alert - I’ve seen the amount of signs in people’s front gardens locally, unfortunately the bigot is still going to win.)

Yeah but he really hasn't come out of this as he schemed to. Hope he gets bomba'd in the investigation in to his crypto

And parties like Reform and Restore will continue to win support and make inroads until both the government and the opposition come up with a credible plan to address immigration. Obviously, people like Farage go too far in the other direction, but the general public clearly doesn’t have confidence in either this government or the previous one to deal effectively with immigration—which, admittedly, is a complex issue.

What you say is true, the sad part is I have not seen a credible plan from Reform or Restore and when questioning any of their supporters you don't get one beyond "tow them back" or "slash their boats"

The truth is, as you say, a complex situation with is as much about the global political situation and its impact on the world than it is our inability to merely stop boats crossing a body of water.

He was always going to win. What will be interesting is to see what the turnout is, and what % of the vote he gets vs Count Binface.
Reform will spin it as an endorsement of Farage whatever. The good thing is that once he is re-elected the investigation can re-start. There are a few reports that all is not hunky dory behind the scenes in Reform. I guess there is only so much space for so many ambitious bigots.
