Back to Nowaks murder. Who did beleive there was two tier policing was Digwas brother, family and legal team.

Why didn’t he just say they had been assaulted? Why did they continue this lie while Henry was near death infront of them? Why did they continue the lie as part of their defense? Why was an accusation of race something they believed would help them?

Why does any family do it and cover for their loved ones? Why does anyone who is trying to hoodwink the police lie in order to cover someone's tracks?

Two tier policing would be the police choosing a side from an equal standing start, not because someone lied that they were being racially abused, they are totally different

Why did they specifically accuse Nowak of being racist? They could have just said he was attacked and it was self defense. But racism was the primary part of their accusation. Why?

Because he was a wrongun and likely wanted to lay on something of gravity to the claim........crying wolf on anything is peoples go to when they try and get out of things, its been the way since time immemorial.

If you are trying to believe that in the heat of the stabbing that the bloke who stabbed poor Novak took his time to calculate that two tier policing and DEI training might get him off the hook if he made the claim of racism then I think you are really trying to reach all for the sake of point scoring on here mate

And the expectation was that would carry favour with the police and judiciary.

Now flip it. A white person in a town where they would be a minority. They stab someone, they call the police. Saying they have been racially abused by an Asian man. Is that taken as seriously as the accusation was here? The family arrives and back up the claim. Do the police take that seriously?

Well thats a totally different point.

But I think the police turn up to the behest of the person calling in the crime and grievance and go with bias towards that in the first instance, regardless.

Same as they do with many crimes that are called in

I would expect the police to take it seriously yes but unless you have an actual example it’s just whistling in the wind.
And regardless of expectation, Digwa was charged by the police with murder and a jury found him guilty of murder.
The fact that he tried to use racism in his defence clearly didn’t take any precedence over what the police, CPS and jury believed to have been what actually happened.
So what’s the issue?

After a quick skim read, have I just come back to see some posters saying the death of Henry Novak was race related?!

Because they are arseholes trying to cover up for their mistake?
Pretty normal and common tactic for humans to try mentioning anything outside of the status quo to get leverage. It's not race specific.

I believe the answer is Yes. The police record reported racial and religious hate crime. While I haven't found data on the number of convictions which arise from these reports, it's clear that the group described as "white" are well represented.
