Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Literally nobody has said he has committed a crime who has any idea how the law works. It was entirely clerical. But internet tax lawyers assemble and libel the leader of a political party lol.

Not a defence of anyone here before I get shouted down for being a Green fan, I didn't even think you needed to pay Council Tax for a narrow boat, I am sure a friend of mine who was on a continuous cruiser never did.........

That is literally what Polanski thought. It's such a minor issue being amplified by the Mail and GB News and then being parroted on socials.

Maybe there is a difference between a mooring and being a CC, I have no idea TBF and I don't know anything about his story either.

Always fancied the idea of a boat in St Katherines Dock, you can get a boat as good as an appt for around 250k, its the annual mooring thats the kicker, 25k

Everyone saw the video of the Lambo. It was from 2023 at his wedding and Reform bellends have said he celebrated his election victory with it. Mind you, if he had, as a member of the Green party, he would have rightfully looked a bellend. Those cars are not for the climate.

Off topic. But as an Asian, the need to hire super cars for weddings is ostentatious and so unnecessary. But each to their own.

If you're moving around no CT to pay...if you're moored up pretty much permanently, you do. I don't think it has to be at a official residential mooring either.
But need to notify the LA so they can issue CT charge.

If it's a casual/rogue set of moorings, this has probably now fudged over other boat owners in the same location.

Cool that makes sense

Zack Polanski has admitted that he was living on an east London houseboat and may owe council tax after days of refusing to answer questions about his living arrangements.”

Another socialist that thinks the ‘rich’ should pay more tax while evading their own tax responsibilities.
Greens aren't socialists, they are anarchists. That's what makes them distinctive from Labour - they are pro-equality the same, but they are anti (not pro) state

I considered boat life a few years ago.
Continuous cruisers don't pay council tax.
It applies if you have a residental mooring (think Limehouse) and local services exist.
It differs between different councils.
