I dont resent any religion, I studied religion and sociology, religion and history fascinates me and I understand why people want to believe certain narratives, I also believe parts of all religions have given a good basis to thr four corners of society, I also think there are parts that have then been detrimental to those foundations.

To put if crude, I just dont believe in the hocus pocus and convenience of so many of the stories and writings of religion, its outdated and the more we discover in life the less places there is for the literal conversion of things like the Bible.

For me they are fables, no more, no less.

No resentment to it or anyone that believes it

Anyway, this is a politics thread, I will leave the religion there

You are sitting ok the fence. Some religions have had a greater positive impact or a greater negative impact than others. Break it down.

They may have said it. So what? I don't think it matters. They were evil and they said lots of things. The reasons these men did what they did is because they could. Not all men. But it's almost always men. It's terrifying what we men are capable of. And some women. But as we seem to be looking for data points we can focus on the stronger one. Men.

It's always been my issue with this debate. People like you seem to care very little for the victims. You seem more angry that it was done by a certain group of people who you do not like. That cannot be the right thing. The victims and the reasons they were failed are critical. We live in a society where children are supposed to be protected at any cost. They were not and are not.

All of our energy should be going in to stopping this from ever happening again. That means serious investment and reform of the social services system and the Police. Who all failed these children.

That's what I care about. As do all the other people you seem to be fighting with on this thread.
