They are being too passive about this. I don't like aggressive politics, but they really should be able to make his role completely untenable now.
I wonder if it's actually a calculated decision. A leave Hitler, get Heydrich approach (i.e. leave the incompetent fascist and knock off the competent one that you really fear). Do they just reckon he'll be easier to beat in a GE in 2024, so are actually minded to prop him up?

He'd be the most likely to benefit from this.I saw some amateur sleuthing that suggested the first party pictures released were taken from Sunak’s office window.

Not that I think he'd be dumb enough to do it himself. A staffer or fellow MP whose career is closely tied to his would be my bet.
I'm glad Brexit and Covid are done. They were getting annoying.I expect it's Cummings. It feels more nihilistic than machiavellian.
But, now Brexit and Covid are done with, I agree it definitely feels like it's time to have a grown-up in charge. Ideally someone with no baggage from this cabinet, a real fresh start. Someone with a bit more integrity and emotional intelligence. A Rory Stewart, Ruth Davidson or Tom Tugendhat (I appreciate the first two aren't currently MPs, but the Johnson under Cameron/Burnham under Corbyn route is sometimes the smart one).

Can't remember, COVID has completely screwed with my internal timeline. The last 2 years has seemed like 6 months. Is it not too early to have been him? He'd only been in post a few weeks at that point, following an enormous promotion.
Call me old fashioned but wouldn't it have been better to have a grown up in charge for two of the biggest issues to face the country since 1945? Concerning that you think having an incapable clown at the helm of the country was better than someone responsible no?
Also, great to see Brexit is done. There was me thinking we have an issue with the Northern Ireland agreement and risk of triggering Article 16 still. Will need to look and see how Liz Truss already solved it.

Johnson fails to attend question time. Well there's a surprise for you. What a cowardly piece of brick that man is.
Yes, I have been very impressed with Raynor. She has the measure of the entire Tory front bench, not that it would be too difficult.

Britain is freed, while NI is going under the bus as quietly as can be managed.
Starmer is not too bad at PMQs actually. I've watched him pull Boris apart on a few occasions. Raynor may be more suited to tomorrow's inevitable topics though. It wasn't Question Time - that's tomorrow (and Angela Raynor asked for an assurance he would attend).
Today was an opposition urgent question for the PM. He didn't attend but a minister was put up to answer (apparently normal for this to happen?).
But yes, he is a coward and a charlatan.
I hope Starmer is still in isolation tomorrow. Raynor will do a much better job at PMQs.
