Many of you play? I decided to get up to speed at Texas Holdem poker about a year ago. Haven't be playing online for real cash but taken the pot from a few games with friends. I love the escapism of it plus surely if you get good enough it offers a genuine income option.

Don't play as much as I used to, it is a great game.

Would play online but a poker night with your mates is what it's all about. Great night in.

Thanks to poker though, i easily earned more off Playtech shares. Literally raked it in.
 
I knew a lad at work who would earn a fortune from playing online he went to Vegas to try face to face and couldn’t replicate it. But he was earning well over £3000 a week and he gave up his job
 
They started a pub league where I lived soon after Casino Royale was in cinemas which got lots of people I know into the game and been playing Texas Hold’em (plus a bit of Omaha) in local pubs and casinos ever since.

Never really enjoyed playing online (fair play to those that earn a living doing so) but set up a private tourney with my poker mates so we have a weekly get together until lockdown ends at least.

Haha speak for yourself!...I've won the last four and the guys I play against are claiming I've had home advantage so we're looking at other options for a venue!

True, although when she calls on the turn Coren must’ve been slightly concerned that Tahtouh has 2 diamonds or clubs and even when he shows the bluff there’s still three 7s which could have rivered him the bigger straight; that sort of bad beat seems to happen more often online than in live play though!
