I’m guessing you could the AWS machine learning text analyser, or Google’s natural language AI. Set the parameters and key words to search one source and then set another instance running to scan for threads to cross reference and voila.
No doubt it would have some teething difficulties and probably make some weird footballing deductions, and of course another downside is that it can become overly repetitive….but not probably any worse than GB or FiB

I do run a speech to text thingy every week to help accessibility and search optimisation but to be honest, it understands about one word in three that we say

Youtube has incredible auto-subtitles nowadays; I think you can upload to that and then download the subtitles but am not sure of the details... Google it in the Metaverse.

Acast (who we host with) have an transcribing service that I run every episode. It is mainly aimed at people with hearing impairments and search engine optimisation, but if I am honest, it's not that great. It struggles with slang and nicknames, which are common on a football podcast.

I have set up a YouTube channel but we haven't used it yet. The recording software that we use supports video but editing would be a lot more complicated.

Maybe we'll do a live show on YouTube at some point but I can't say that I am a big fan of the ones that are out there right now.

YouTube (Google) already do the auto captioning on video and now are doing auto transcribing of podcasts saving the creator any work (input) on the metadata.

Search words/phrases on Google search, it'll know you've said it on a pod.

Yes I didn't mean for Milo to create a real youtube version, I meant just upload the audio with a black screen to make a video and then download the subtitles and then delete the video... or whatever workaround to get the subtitles, examples below but I've never tried it. Just try it with a 5 minute portion of the pod
  1. Log in to YouTube.
  2. Open the YouTube video.
  3. Click on the More Options (…) button at the bottom of the video.
  4. Select Open Transcript from the drop-down menu.
  5. Copy and paste all the lines of text that appear to an editor of your choice to have a complete transcript that you can edit

If you where to do a live show, surely Twitch is more suitable than YouTube? Twitch for live and then upload to YouTube is the usual way to do it. YouTube isn't really suited to live events, unless they've made drastic changes to the publishing tools in the last year.
