*** OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Stoke City***

I didn't Describe it

Imagine you are desperate for a chance to get on and play. Games come and go. You get a minute or two here and there. Then the team's main striker gets a hat-trick, the team goes 4-0 up. The minutes pass, two subs go on, until finally it's your time, your moment, the manager turns around and says.................. "Son, get ready you're going on."

That kind of look.

Job done.

shame we couldnt increase the lead, but cant complain about a 4-0 win.

Hopefully Vertonghen and Alderweireld are fit for next week

This second half is worrying. Spurs showing that they lack ruthlessness.

Oh my fudging days, you depart. We've scored 4. How much more ruthless would you like us to be?

Not like we've stopped trying is it, we've had countless chances this half. Are you genuinely taking the tinkle? There's a difference between ruthless and clinical you know?

fudging hell, I wonder why I bother visiting this place sometimes.

Anyway great result, thoroughly professional performance.. Bring on the next one.

I think we could have scored a few more if we wanted and done our goal difference a world of good. Anyway 4-0 is good score. Good performance all round.

A Win, we bounce back, and but for their goalie Grant, would've added another 2-3 more in the second half.

Second it is, watch the EFL final, and wait for next week.

Perhaps but he's generally been brick for us so does he deserve more to play than Son, who has been decent?

I feel sorry as it appears to have gone the same way as Soldado, and I don't like to see anyone fail at Spurs.
That said, I may be entirely wrong, and Poch just doesn't think he's ready and is taking him out of the spotlight, who knows.

Great result though!

Well, hat was a mite disappointing after the first half. Just once, I'd like us to go on and finish off teams in the second half if we get a big lead going into it - usually we just sit back and conserve our strength, and I felt like the extra goals would have helped today.

Ah, well. In no conceivable world can a 4-0 be sneered at, and it was a thoroughly professional performance today (save for a few bits of eminently understandable individualism - shots at goal from Eriksen, Walker et al when team-mates were better placed). Stoke were dismantled the way they were at the Britannia twice in 2016, and it was a solid day all around. My only small worries are about Jan and Toby.... but other than that, it's cool, serene sailing throughout this week. Whatever will be, will be...and a world where we win like that is a pretty nice place to be today.

Well done, lads.

Did you just call me a depart. Before I respond, what are the board's rules on insults?

Me too, I don't understand why we start just passing it around side ways when a forward pass is just as good. They were there for the taking, I think two more goals were not out the question, but we just eased right off. It would have been the perfect opportunity to bring Janssen on, with twenty to go and to give Harry a little rest. Perhaps Janssen might have got that first goal from open play.

For me , nothing to complain about today. Clinical when we needed to be then took our foot of the pedal and slowly jogged home. Only concerns are Vertonghen and Toby. Which are 2 fudging massive concerns I suppose.

Hey, come on, absolutely no need for that, mate. Play the ball, not the man - unless he's Brecht DeJaegere or Manuel Da Costa, in which case feel free to bag the c*nt. :p
