omt*** Tottenham Hotspur Vs Leeds United

Apparently Defoe trained Wed-Fri but is injured and hasn't travelled. More details when I get them #thfc

Have to say I like that back 4.
Nice to see Siggy starting and Obika on the bench.

Am not particuarly pleased to see Obika on the bench - just shows how desperately short we are up front. He's 22 and been sent out on loan numerous times and never really been a success. Cant see him having a career in a division much above league 2 or the conference

But he's been doing well for the XI all season, seems to be in good form, may as well give him a shot. Would you rather have two keepers on the bench?

Well, the Defoe injury story that cropped up earlier in the week, and was then dismissed when training pics appeared, may not be completely over.

Not gospel. See if he appears or not.

So there we have it.

Could be a hamstring.............allegedly

Even though he's proved he can play at a higher level when out as a kid on loan.

Definitely not good enough for us

thats my point - he hasnt. Clearly I dont want us to do what Harry did a couple times (name 2 keepers on the bench or just 6 subs) but the fact that someone who has failed more than succeeded when out on loan in the lower leagues just highlights how criminally short we are up front

Decent team, am happy enough with that, and expect not to lose.

I'm pleased if Obika gets his chance not through injury of course, but he's been doing well so maybe he make it.

We'll see. But as I and many others have been saying all window, it's a striker that's our priority need. Of course Obika might just change our minds, but I doubt it.

Good luck to him anyway.

Is there not a teenager with more potential on our books?

I'm so pleased to see Gomes back in a Spurs first team quad - the crazy genius!

Good team to face Leeds, bearing in mind we've got a League game against Norwich mid-week.

Hope Townsend comes on for a decent stint. He was blinding for us in the third round against Charlton all of two years ago yet here he is still hoping for scraps from the subs bench. WHY?
