OMT ***Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace***

We lost many easy points at home last season. That cost us many valuable points that ultimately cost us the title race. We need to make sure we don't drop too many points at home this season. Palace has always been a tricky match for us being a London derby. We did beat them home and away in the league last season. But we also lost to them at home in the FA Cup last season. So, can see this being another tight match for us.

We did well to come back from 1-0 down to drew with Everton last week. But we wasted a few good chances to win that match late on. Kane played poorly in that match. Not sure if he will be back to firing in this match as he has always been a slow starter every season. In contrast, Lamela has been in great form for us, scoring 3 and assisting 4 goals in his last 7 match for us. Hope he can continue his great form by scoring a goal in this match. Janssen did well when he came on against Everton. Hope he can get his first goal for us in this match.

Our midfield is still struggling without Dembele. I think Wanyama needs more time to settle down at Spurs. He did fairly well against Everton but he also made a few crucial mistakes. I think Wanyama needs to avoid giving away unnecessary freekicks in dangerous areas. But not sure if Dier and Wanyama can play together in midfield as they are both defensive minded. We badly lacked creativity with them both in midfield. The likes of Eriksen and Alli needs to step up and create more chances for us.

Our defence made too many mistakes against Everton. Hope Alderweireld and Vertonghen will be back to their best in this match. Can't help but worried about Vorm replacing the injured Lloris in goal. Vorm did well to make that crucial save against Everton. Hope he can have another error-free match. Walker had a good match against Everton but Rose was poor. Both need to step up their game in this match.

We are now winless in 5 league matches from last season. After the draw against Everton, we badly need to win this match to get back to winning ways. Hope we will put up a good match and get that all-important win.

Eriksen badly needs to improve his freekicks or give away that duty to someone like Lamela. We are wasting too many freekicks to score nowadays. The ability to score from freekicks can make a huge difference in tight matches.

From one game only my impression is that we are off to a slow start like last season, so this game I am expecting us to play like last week.

So predicting an agonizing forum splitting draw where we'd feel like we've dropped points :(

Poch, please prove me wrong....

Or even Dier. That fk for England was a cracker

Any "t e a m n e w s" yet ?

Wish we have Lloris and Dembele back. Let's hope the likes of Lamela and Janssen can help us get our first win of the season.

Just about to leave for the Lane, need to call it at Sainsburys on the way for a Prawn Sandwich...just so we can blend in

COYS

THFC team: Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Wanyama, Lamela, Eriksen; Janssen, Kane (c)

Subs: McGee, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Alli, Carroll, Mason, Onomah

Two strikers start - this could be a very important tactical milestone to see if there's a viable second strong option for a Poch team right at the start of games

On last week's performance I think it's the right call, well done Poch. I'd have dropped Rose and bring in Davies too.

We need 7/10 performances to compete, none of that 4/10 nonsense we saw in the first half last week...

COYS!!!!!
I'd back Rose to change that today though.
If Janssen hadn't have come on and looked good Alli might still start

we could do with buying another striker, the bench looks weak

Don't be stupid, Poch will never drop Kane deeper and play Janssen up front... er... um...
