***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink: "We desperately want to win the next game, which is Spurs, and then there are massive games against Sunderland, Liverpool and Leicester after that.

'It's normal to have scrutiny from the press because you are playing in the limelight. We want to fulfil our obligations now, and in the upcoming games.

"I cannot guarantee the result but I can guarantee that the effort will be there, and not just on Monday."

Back-tracked? Now had he come out with that statement first time around I would have no qualms. If it really means it, then fair enough.

Thats the one.

Not once have we bragged about winning the title, we have not been in the position to. Ah well, if it sells T-shirts

Indeed, I hope Lamela continues on the right, would be a shame to move everybody's position because of one player being out.

Or it could even be Son up top with Kane at #10 and Eriksen left/ Lamela right as usual... in fact that is very possible

I'd have him central. I think that he could do some really damage there. He is probably the best in the squad at playing a through ball, he's good on the overlap and is often our most advanced played when Kane drops back. He'd also keep their CBs on their toes.

Right then!
All the talk is about to be iirelevant; now time for ACTION!

I so want us to BATTER these clams it's unreal; to put Spurs even more on the map and make Leicester actually have to win it on Saturday.

They are 10th/11th for a reason: they aint that good, Like vs Manure, we need to play the team in front of us not the past reputation.

I see Son is playing in place of Alli; let's hope he can give us the forward thrust, pace and bravery that Alli does: now is the time to show up and cause them problems; now is the time to shine...SON!

I worry we'll be targetted from their set pieces by Terry, Cahill and Ivanonic; i hope Dier, Toby and Jan are wiser to that than we have been vs Chelsk in recent years.

Now let's see if we are REALLY a different Spurs tonight -i'd love a win but for me there'll be NO EXCUSES for a loss. NONE.

COYMFS!

Jeepers. The BBC Sport matchthread is like a Leicester love-in. Why dont they just have the trophy at the KingPower Stadium now so they can present live on Sky Sports at 10pm?

They are on the cusp of something incredible. I think its understandable.

All I ask is a fair rub of the green with lady luck and refereeing decisions. Unlike previous visits. No offside goals. No dodgy pens. If we are beaten/draw, fair and square then so be it

We haven't won at their place in something like a quarter of a century mate. And they're super motivated to officially extinguish any lingering hope we have at the league. You can understand why they're favourites. It will just make it that much sweeter if we do manage to turn them over.
Higher/lower, have I got that wrong? When I posted that, Chelsea 7/4 Spurs 13/8, or something like that.

ha, do you think for a second it isn't, packages are already filmed and in the EVS, they are already drinking Asti out of it

Heung Min-son. Tonight is your night to show us what you can do. Seize your chance, get your shooting boots on and make me eat some humble pie

Wonder whether Son will play centrally. I like the though of him running at Cahill and Terry
If he is he needs to get up alongside Harry and beyond the way Alli does. Means we effectively play two up top most of the time.
