+++ OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland 12th April 2026 +++

Dreading today but also intrigued with RDZ now at the helm. Result today and more importantly a good performance will have the teams around us concerned
i have almost accepted our fate so i am not dreading the games. Was watching the boxing last night talking with my non-spurs mates about that stadium hosting championship games next season. Not even in a banter type manner. Part of me is looking forward to having to sell likes of Solanke and Richarlison and all these overpaid tossers and see a slimmed squad of the likes of Lankshear, Moore and co. fighting for promotion. Maybe its the complete reset the club needs.

It won't.
Forest, Leeds and West Ham all know how to do relegation battles.
Leeds know they still have to play us.

Points are all that matter. Nothing else.

A point today would be ok.
Forest v Villa should be a Villa win. But a draw wouldn't be a surprise.
Man U should beat Leeds, but that's such a huge game for Leeds you expect them to step up.

A loss today and other results go against us could be huge.

We need to start picking up bits and pieces. How we play is irrelevant.

As much as Romero can be a good player, keep your talks for the locker room. A whole lot of talk and not much action from him this season, just shut up and actually lead.

I’m really hopeful for today, we need something here, I don’t think a point is a bad outcome at all but three would be massive.

I know people are saying it’s in our hands and we just have to win our games, but we haven’t won in the league this year, and it’s April… so the idea that we’re going to win 4 of our last 7 seems far fetched to me. We need to fight, get what we can and hope others do us favours. We can drag Leeds back into this today with the right results, and the more teams that are involved, the more likely it is those around d us drop points too.

We need our players to actually turn up. Nothing more, no social media, no sounds bites, no saying “we’re all in this together” actually go and be all in it together and start putting the actions to the words.

I am actually excited for today, its a game that offers a great opportunity for us..............if we take it is another thing, but I won't let anything but the game dictate my mood. Lets get into this mob and show some guts

Agreed. We’ve seen the social media posts, I’ve heard lads like Solanke say “we had a serious talk in the dressing room”, we had the huge show of support at the Forest game. It doesn’t count for enough to keep us up.

This is about what happens on the pitch and we need to see a massive upturn today. If we get more of the same of what we had under Frank and Tudor, it’s a massive problem regardless of what inspirational words get said.

This squad should have too much ability to be where we are but for all sorts of reasons, we are where we are. It’s now brick or get off the pot time to prove they’re very good Premie League players. Action, not words.

I believe they will. Recovery starts here today. COYS.

Also excited about today, can’t decide if that’s good or bad haha The thing is, a win today and we have 3 points on the board in RDZs first match, and 6 still to play. Confidence will be high.

A lot to gain, but we haven’t won in so long it will take a big improvement.

A win today would be huge, not saying dropping points puts us down, but a win is worth so much more than 3 points.

Maybe and because we haven't played in ages, but I haven't been as excited about a match in a long time. Also trying to prepare myself for a massive kick in the nuts!

COYS!!!!!!!
Same here (but without the kick in the nuts bit). Having been away for February and March it feels like a lifetime since I last watched us. Up in Sunderland now and I am bizzarely really looking forward to it. At least I can hang onto that feeling for another 90 minutes at least!

This really is the lot of a Spurs fan. I enjoyed the last 3 weeks where I didn’t have to obsess over our games and the fallout from them. For the first time, I was grateful for the international break.

Then this weekend rolls around and the stress ramps up thinking about our game and West Ham go and batter Wolves to ratchet up the pressure.

Yet, I feel strangely confident today and I’m looking forward to seeing us under de Zerbi. We all know what hope usually brings…

Isn’t football meant to be an escape from the stresses of life?

I can’t help but find this a bit disrespectful tbh.
Ok Frank wasn’t the right man for us but he’s not a bad person and not a bad coach.
This just validates for me that Romero, despite being out captain, was playing for the better good of the team.
I agree. It’s just petty really, and when you continually make mistakes as a player you’re not in a position to comment or criticise on the standard of coaching anyway. I wasn’t a fan of Frank, but Romero could certainly benefit from some of his professionalism.

Anyway, COYS!!! Let’s finally win a game haha
