I didn't see lazy. I saw slightly off the pace and not firing on all cylinders. Who did you think was 'lazy'?bag of toss, a really lazy performance

A very poor lethargic performance by Spurs. Monaco never needed to step up a gear. We couldn't step up a gear. It is clear that Kane is off form. Erikson's mind isnt at the club this season. I dont get why Poch didnt start with Dembele. Alli is shackled in CM. Spurs are clearly not good enough to come out of this group.
We got beaten by not taking our chances and slacking off to give them their two efforts on goal. The venue (85,000 + fans) and the size of the pitch should not be factors.I think that would have been a different result at WHL.
We got beaten by the strangeness of playing a home game at Wembley with the expectation that we would win, and the size of the pitch.
i expect us to beat them away.
Kane's a bit of a worry at the moment. Out of sorts and trying too hard as result.

It shouldn't but nevertheless I think it does have an effect. But we should have taken our chances, I agree. We got beaten by not taking our chances and slacking off to give them their two efforts on goal. The venue (85,000 + fans) and the size of the pitch should not be factors.

Also, Kane might want to play through his current iffy patch, and we should let him if he wants to - he's earned that much. However, we should definitely start subbing Janssen in earlier and earlier if this persists, to get an alternative on the field and leave Kane in the hole when he's struggling to be incisive up front.
Janssen harried well, and held it up well. That layoff to Kane in the 79th (?) minute was the moment we could have tied it up, but Kane unbelievably sent it straight at Subasic. I'm leaning towards bringing him on earlier in games.
The rubbish record at the new Wembley continues....now 1 win in 6?
All the pre match hype and excitement meant it's only natural we were going to be let down
Poor from Poch. Wrong team selection, didn't take Monaco seriously. What did he say before the game..." this game is no different to playing Stoke" or something along those lines. Disappointing
Kane was also selfish in some positions. I am all for giving Harry a chance but Harry needs to be honest and say he needs a rest.
Did he do well when he let Monaco players surround and harangue him after the yellow card at the corner? Or when he didn't book the Monaco players for kicking the ball away too?Oh, and the ref did well. Let a lot of stuff go (and was right to do so), looked in control and got his point across without the drama that usually accompanies Prem refs doing the same thing.
