***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool***

El Guepardo

Les Ferdinand
What: Tottenham Hotspur lineup to defend and hopefully increase our first leg advantage in the Carabao Cup Semi Final second leg played at Anfield
When: Thursday 6th February at 8pm UK time zone

There is only just over two days left to one of our season defining matches and still we don’t have an OMT. What’s wrong with this place? We need more enthusiasm, to be more proactive and to get giving full support to the team.

Do people here have issues with a combination or one of Levy, the board, Ange or a player/s from the team, if recent events reflect correctly then yes but now is no time for it. If we are to win we need to win together. We need to be the best that we can be collectively. That is our best chance for success. And so I don’t want any negative vibes in here, talk them elsewhere if needs be, but this is about getting behind the team and supporting them all the way to what is hopefully a Cup Final.

So let’s get it happening. Let’s make history. Let’s stop people taunting about our lack of success. It’s in our hands to get to the Final. We have an opening advantage and I know that we can do it, even if there will be those that say the odds are against us.

So do your thing, and let’s get the win and the glory nights going again!! COYS

Some big decisions for Ange for this one. Danso right in? Is there a significant risk playing VdV? Or stick with the "tried and tested" Gray or Davies. Similarly if Gray isn't playing CB, give him his first start this season in midfield or not? When and how to use Tel...

Will be really interesting to see how he lines the team up. Actually has some options for once even though some of them are untested and others may be slight injury risks.

Is this good or bad news?

Mostly good news. We'll probably have to sit back quite a bit and his crossing is up there with the best in the world and can cause loads of problems.

May have been a chance for Son/Tel/Someone to get the better of him the other way too. But mostly good news.

Good, I expect us to be under the cosh for long periods so we'll be defending more than attacking. Trent is a tremendous footballer and brick defender so that would suit him.

Don't expect anything from this game. However, when I tend to lose all hope, Tottenham tend to pull me back in with something unexpected. If we get anything on Thursday, Ange and the players will deserve massive, massive credit.

Knowing the season we are having, VDV will be out.

Gray + Dranso might be a nice pairing. Tough on Davies, but we probably need a bigger backline against pool. One day, hopefully soon, we will see Gray, Bissouma and Bentancur in midfield allthougher. Would be a resolute midfield.

Tel for Richarlison is massively tempting too. But far more likely to let Tel come on as a sub as players tire as @Hotspur75 outlines. Richi to run himself into the ground, Tel to replace him on 60 mins and win it!

I think the most important thing is the amount of 1st team bodies we can put together in the travelling squad. We'll need more than "11 fit players" if we are going to get the win.

Does this look right?

Kinsky, Austin, Porro, Spence, Gray, Danso, Davies, VDV?, Reggie, Biss, Bents, Sarr, Bergval, Kulu, Sonny, Tel, Richi, Moore, Scarlett

I make that 15 outfield players, plus Moore and Scarlett to call upon. Perhaps Ajayi makes the numbers up.

The key for me will be keeping that midfield intensity going from start to finish.

----------------Kinsky
Porro--Romero----VDV---Spence
--Bentancur----Gray----Bissouma
---Kulusevski----Tel----Richarlison

I reckon Romero is fit and Ange has been bluffing.

What is up with AI’s spelling? I tried an image and it had a Liverpool badge with ‘Tottnum’ written on it. And then it completely butchered spelling Liverpool on the next one and then I gave up.

There's just so much wrong with that image.

You have one Liverpool player dressed as an Arsenal player.
Two balls.
One Spurs player wearing red shorts.
In the back there's a Spurs player without a torso.

I'm not confident about this game, I think they'll have the legs on us, we look very tired in second half on Sunday getting that result. With Villa coming up in cup I would protect as many players as possible. My biggest fear is it goes to penalties as we will have played ourselves into the ground.
