***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v LiVARpool - Sunday April 27th 4.30pm

Exactly,

Every first touch, every movement, every pass etc will be executed at a higher level than Thursday. It's great prep for the guys.
We will likely not play our strongest eleven Sunday, so I don't think it will make much difference at all. Our league performances before the Frankfurt ties were underwhelming to say the least but was far from our first eleven on the field, yet our performances in the two legs were much improved with our strongest team out. This match will have naff all relevance to how we perform on Thursday IMO....

Don't see why our strongest team shouldn't start. Loads of days to rest before Thursday and it's not like we're a cohesive unit at the best of times.

Get them out there.
It's not just about rest, players do actually get injured during a football match. Especially if you have the likes of Van Dijk with free rein to kick lumps out of people....

Why do all the humiliating moments happen to us? Did we trade a lifetime of humiliation for a league cup win 15 years ago?

The best teams don't make mass changes. They keep a core of about 8 and rotate the 3. Then they keep a slightly different 8 and rotate qnother 3. It is how they keep their core 15 or 16 fresh for battle.

Pep won a treble doing it.

Team talk should be:
"OK mates, if there's any chance of a tackle or body contact, pull out. Keep a minimum of one meter diststance to any Liverpool player at any time. Don't run, we don't want to get tired."

In fact we should field the under 18 team. Or the ladies team. They'd have as much of a chance anyway.

And dont put your head not Jota's foot...

Exactly. People calling for the kids to play. We should have our team out, the spine at least and make changes as and when. I mean which of them is playing so well that missing them on Thursday would be terminal?

What's humiliating about tomorrow? i don't get that narrative. We aren't competing for the title so liverpool securing it v us is neither here nor there
I would have preferred it for them to have won it last week or next. I'm already ignoring all the pre press and will ignore this game and post press love in afterwards.

What could be humiliating is how many they score.....

I agree
If they don’t smash us questions should be asked because our players won’t care one bit for tomorrows game
