*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project ***

Shame we were so bad first half.

That was a much improved second half and we had some real chances to take something from that game. Referee gave us absolutely nothing all game. Really frustrating but some positives sign there. If we can find that level of performance in the second half on a consistent basis it should be a much brighter end to the season.

Deserved more from that after the second half. We are improving, slowly.

Bergwall MOM for me, what a player he is already. Fantastic work rate, creative, takes on players, good passing range, and his positioning is improving too.

Spence showed why he should've started. Gray composed and calm as usual. Danso looking good. Vicario with a few good saves.

Overall plenty positives, despite a (mostly) poor first half and the loss, obviously.

I dont want Tuchel near Spurs, but imagine how well drilled another coach of his calibre could make this squad of talented individuals

And fortunate that City didn't have their shooting boots on. Bit like all the other teams. I just don't enjoy the odds we play

First half:
City average
Spurs brick

Second half
Spurs average
City average

Thoroughly forgettable game of football

The team with the 13th best record at home in the league playing host to the side with 10th best away record = 90 minutes of mid-table mediocrity.

We started without much verve. Flat and slow, lacking confidence and familiarity. Which, considering the number of rusty players just back and youth players, wasn't surprising. Yes we have a few players back, but we're still a shell of a team. Missing both first choice CBs, and forward. It took a while for the younger players to get up to speed. City's press better than ours at the outset. Our passing and movement was slow and easy to snuff out. A young side, we have to be patient.

Second half we had more space to play, and played with more zip. Taking off Bentancur lost us some momentum. We had as many chances second as City did first. Son, Sarr, Danso, Bentancur. No one put it in the net. All about the Europa now. How good are we at raising our play in the cup games?
