Lacks pace.
And strength. And a first touch. And a final ball.

Yeah. In his second start of the season against a weak team like City he should be totally running the game.Gil on the floor again, he can twist and turn and thats about it.
Or is it football from a team gutted by injuries???? Hmmmm…..
That’s the kcikerYeah. In his second start of the season against a weak team like City he should be totally running the game.
No. Kulu is doing a very important job centrally to stop Emirates Marketing Project slicing through.
Johnson did it twice in that halfSwap him and Johnson to the other side so they can cut in on their stronger foot and get shots off. Neither Gil or Johnson are beating their FBs on the outside.
would be 4 straight defeats, I doubt we've ever done that
He needs to play Son in first time. He should have that picture in his head as he gets the ball.Jeez, gil is playing against best rb this league has seen and doing OK, give the guy a break.
You think ?Jeez, gil is playing against best rb this league has seen and doing OK, give the guy a break.
We weren’t great at defending set piece with the proper Cbs eitherIt's a good job that the league position is made up from the results from the whole season rather than from a 4 game block then isn't it?
If we lose yeah it's not a great record to obtain but it's not massive in the context of the season. I'm more focused on the upcoming results, today is as much as a free shot as there can be.
Still being in the game at half time is pretty good going, although helped by Haaland going a bit Nunez for two attempts that he puts away on every other occasion. Nobody is disgracing themselves although poor defending from set pieces is starting to be a bit of a concern.
Hojerg doesn't track back eitherI would hope Hojbjerg could do a similar job, and Kulusevski can just do it higher up the pitch.
Or also take Lo Celso off.
Has played a few nice passes, but hasn't tracked back a few times
Yep. He should have held the line. That's how we play.Holding the line.
Unfortunately Davies went with the runner.
Difficult enough with the first XI. With two FBs at CB, almost impossible. Especially against one of the best teams in the world
