I raised an eyebrow at hearing that in Emirates Marketing Project's last 15 home games, they've only conceded eight goals. Five of them to us.
Thanks, but I still don't see the logic. Both scenarios are handball, one is given and the other not. What exactly would have been the difference?Yes, today’s led to a goal, for which there is a specific proviso.
Had Laporte done the same from a Spurs corner, in his own box, it would not have been a penalty to us.

Even though we got a point we still look like the same team we looked for the majority of last season and how we have looked for the majority of games under Poch against the big teams. Its worrying that he has been here so long but we still have lots of games a season where we look clueless. Surely we should have learnt by now?
I don’t think that’s fair, a couple of seasons ago we routinely spanked all of the big teams. It’s only the last 12 months in which we’ve struggled imo.
When ever we have a bad performance, the performances are practically the same. Its no coincidence that the performances last season coincide with the bad performances since he has been in charge. Its literally like watching the same game over and over when we play badly.
Moura's goal was great. Wonderful delivery from Lamela.
Ok, I’d not seen him play before, assumed he was a rookie.

Don't be so moany. We got a point.Moan, moan, moan.
There was a bit of that but honestly, the City high press is very effective and impressive. The swarming all over our players, cutting passing options, 10-sec rule, etc is Pep's biggest contribution to the great Barca side he managed. He's brought this playbook with him everywhere he has gone to. Pep herpes I think I'll call it. The focus for this tactic is to cut out all options near the ball, but it overcommits and often there are Spurs players totally unmarked on the opposite flank. The trick is to switch the play or somehow break the initial press. If you can do this then you end up with numbers on your side but you need to prepare and coach for it. It didnt look like we were ready, IMO.The disappointing thing is to be outworked by City. It's rare that a Poch team has lower energy levels than their opponent. Not going to make any excuses about missing personel, I just think we are not yet firing on all cylinders. City seem further ahead than we are.
Well you take it off your own private league table, I’ll go with the official league table. Embarrassed to have the point? You are so fudging precious. How many times have we been fudged over by refs in the past? I’ll have every point possible. I’d wager that City don’t lose a game at home this season, and this point could be critical come May.Modern football is rubbish. I'm embarrassed we have that point in our tally

Does it need to be intentional? Thought that was one of the rule changes that if it hits the hand/arm then a foul will be called. Sissoko's 'handball' in the CL final certainly wasn't intentional. Without the ball hitting Laporte's arm it would not have gone to G. Jesus and he would not have scored, correct decision. I don't like VAR but if we are to have it then that is what it's for, didn't deserve a draw but will take it after such a naff performance.Handball needs to be “intentional”, unless it leads to the scoring of a goal for the team that handled it.
Had it deflected off of Laporte’s arm straight to Sissoko, who then chipped the keeper from 100 yards to score for us, that goal would have stood.
