Confidence looks absolutely shot in the senior players. Dele has been poor. Lucas average. Dier looks OK. WP OK. But motivated? Yes to the extent that we are challenging, but to my eye lacking any great sense of belief. Routine passes under-hit or over-hit. I think we have been flat. As for the subs, Sonny looked OK but disappeared a bit, Lamela bustled without any threat, and Eriksen hid out there IMO.
There is no doubt Poch has work to do, and I agree he needs to find a way to try and project positivity. But he is not an idiot; there is little positive from this, and he'd look like a clown shoe suggesting as much.
