***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal***

Ah yes, I remember all the times we have gone to the Emirates and just sat back and invited pressure - it always ends well.....
Arsenal are going though a really bad spell currently. They are struggling to creat quality chances in open play. It might not be the strangest decision to sit deeper and play for the transition. We are ourselves better on the counter than we are trying break teams down. Arsenal are almost set up for us to hit on the counter because they lack the ability to create and score open play chances.

Arteta is probably hoping we open our backside and give them the opportunity for clean clear cut chances because otherwise they aren't scoring.

I like your logic. Unfortunately football being football we love to find a way to bend over at their place, logic seems to go out of the window :D I think it will be more of the same with the way we setup as we have seen lately, and to be fair we have looked tighter at the back. I don't worry about them as much going forward with Saka not being there.....

Sounds like Odegaard might be a doubt for tomorrow, same with Timber and Jesus has an ACL (alledgedly)
Odour Guard twisted his ankle at about 44 minutes vs Man U
He hopped and hobbled his way to half time
Then played the whole game
So hopefully his ankle is on the brink of serious injury and will only last 2 minutes

Surprised they are getting injuries this season after they were pretty much immune from getting them last season.
And now they are crying about injuries. Even seen some claim they have the worst in the PL, they aren't even the 2nd worst. 🤣

Personally I don't buy injury chat, if you don't build a squad capable of coping with injuries that's actually your own fault because we all k ow I juries will occur at some point.

Even the best of squads cannot stand against as many missing as we have had at times during the season. We only had 7 players training ahead of our match against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. What kind of squad depth helps against that?!

Plus it’s all good saying back up players can come in to cover for injured players but then they’ll end up overplayed and with the chance for the replacements to suffer injuries.

What can be mitigated is the risk of injuries with true rotation and use of players to make sure that they stay as fit as possible. But you can never 100% guard against injuries, obviously not.

Fully agree
But that takes time too
Arsenal signed moreno last summer and look like they are replacing him this summer … that’s a mad level of squad building
