It's only awful to watch if you think football is only about pretty football.
That's not a dig.

Personally I loved the second half - the phycology behind it. That will have tinkled Arsenal off. It also showed the rest of the league we can be a solid wall whenever we want.
We've already shown we can play attacking football. The West Ham game showed that and showed we are capable of capitulation. We are now redressing that image.

Fancy your chances against us? Ok - how you gonna play?
Sit back? We can open you up and score from long range.
Be more expensive? Ok. Make sure you don't leave any loose balls though, we'll rip you apart on the counter. And then put the wall up.

I also quite like making sure Arsenal are...... FIFTEENTH in the table. That's a phycological position of dominance

I wrote him off completely as too brainless despite having the tools. He now looks every inch the player I thought we signed. Top performances from him against top teams over the last few weeks.

Not for the first or last time, I was completely wrong.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m delighted with the result. And maybe we can pick it back up if someone does score against us with the players we have.

Time will tell but I didn’t enjoy that second half much. That said, another clean sheet, top of the league, their Xg will be non existent. There’s a lot to be happy about so I’m off to get smashed.

We've played Arsenal, Chelsea and Emirates Marketing Project without conceding one goal.
Maybe we are just now better at defending and more tactically sound than we have been used to for years in this regard.

Fair point. You too Sir. fudge it, we’ve had enough brick over the years.
 
Souness...Spurs fans will take this football if it has us at or near the top of the table challenging for the title.
Right now I don't care about the nature of the match, in fact I rather enjoyed watching a fairly novel order & resilience within our side
