*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth ***

Three points is the main thing but it's huge that Bentancur got through unscathed. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks for Sarr and Veliz.

5 in 5 for Richy is brilliant too although he absolutely should have had two if we're being picky, same with Son as well. Another quality assist from Johnson as well. Mammoth performance from Destiny as well.

We are quite stressful to watch though, we are scraping by just about which is impressive considering the injuries...

Edit - Seems remiss to not mention GLC's assist for Son's, he has that kind of talent and the effort / application to execute it but hopefully we can keep him fit.

How long is our list of missing players now then lol. Every game another player.

They harp on about Saudi Sportswashing Machine, but they are getting players back and not getting more injured. We dont seem to gain, we get one back and then lose a different player

I make that back to 9 missing for Burnley, provided those knocks to Udogie and Royal are not serious

Van der Ven
Romero
Perisic
Sessegnon
Solomon
Bissouma (ACN)
Sarr (ACN or Injured)
Son (Asain Cup)
Veliz

Bentancur and Kulusevski will be back for Burnley which will help, plus fingers crossed a couple of new faces?

Vicario was triffic today. Emerson had my heart in my mouth yet still managed to make a few good defensive plays. Crazy game. Wonderful to see Bentancur back. Chipped in for that first goal. Great finish by Son for the winner. Really happy with the work Johnson is doing and he's hitting some lovely crosses. Udogie is a beast. Sad for Veliz and Sarr. Neither injury looked good.

But a hard-fought win against a form side is a great way to end the year. We're tucked nicely in with the leading pack and hopefully some time off might let us get back much needed reinforcements. This still has the makings of a special season.

Agree. Our misses were much worse though. I think we don't train when it rains!
As dangerous as Bournemouth looked, they really only had half chances. Compare that to the Richie and Gil misses and this match could have justly finished 5-2.

Efan Ekoke - on the world TV feed - called Lo Celso's delivery the pass of the match. He hit it so quickly and instinctively. And to think we were looking at get rid of him. He's been a solid contributor over this tough stretch and he brings a Lamela-like love of schithousery.

With all the injuries and last ditch defending watching Spurs is more like watching the battle of the Somme and with the sometimes mad way we play it is like sending the players over the top, love it!!
Gio brilliant today but Udogie?? Wow what a beast.
Happy New Year everyone it's been quite a ride!

Oh and the Goons :D :D :D:D:D:D

...and sad to see Sarr and Veliz in tears...is it the pitch, wrong shoes, nutrition , physio or are we just cursed?
