Let's just concentrate on backing and encouraging the team during the match, no matter how things are playing out at any given time.
Perhaps he said we are going to 'Park the bus'....and it got lost in translation?.:)

He either said something or he didn't...mixed messages:) wtf

I will watch, have to take the good with bad.
It should prove to be an interesting experience, not sure how much I will celebrate if we stay up, not sure how devastating relegation will feel.
Have a feeling either will feel like a big anti climax.
I will feel blah either way....thats what this ownership has done. Well that and VAR and refs.

They spent about half a bn more than us in that time I think and had players like Saka and Martinelli come through the ranks and establish themselves, whilst nailing a few signings like Rice, Odegaard.

We’ve not had anyone come through the ranks and not really nailed a signing, whilst going through a funny old collection of managers in that time. Hopefully if we stay up we can stick and back this manager as he seems to me to be worthy of it (some of his predecessors clearly weren’t).
I just dont understand how we can still think with this board we will stick with anyone or give them the people they want.

At best each of the 200 managers we had may have been given 2 players they ACTUALLY wanted.

98% of the time. They did not

Madders being available is crucial. The heat will be pretty fierce tomorrow so we won't be able to keep up our intense press imho. Having that creativity in midfield will be important. And big Dom back gives us an option to play 2 up front later on if needed or bring him on of Richy is having a mare.

Do you not feel like tomorrow's weather is part of the perfect storm of a season we're in? We finally get a manager who gets us organised on a high press and the football gods give us 30 degree heat to make it impossible to keep that intensity going.

You couldn't make it up right?

it really is warm and humid today. Did parkrun this morning and felt it. So will definitely need to be more controlled team performance tomorrow. Not a bad thing if it means the game is slower, hopefully will allow us to have more control over proceedings and better manage the match.

That’s what we get for not finishing the job with a win against Leeds. We have the circumstances as are, and have to do the best we can with them. Won’t be easy but won’t be easy for either us or Everton.

RDZ referenced the weather, I'm sure he has a plan for it. Hopefully the extreme heat takes the appetite away from Everton players busting a gut and going the extra mile that our manager and fans will ensure our players do....

There must be some sort of demarcation agreement on Mount Olympus that stops the football gods interfering in weather, though. Otherwise the weather gods would ruin the Champions League by tinkling about with wind and lightning to ensure that Sturm Graz wins every year.

Yeah, that's a good positive spin on it. I'll take that, obviously still hoping they all went back out to strip clubs again last night :tearsofjoy:

So you think the weather gods have their own teams and corroborate with the football gods to make sure they win?

Which category of GHod does Howard Webb fit into?

Much better to get the atmosphere going in the ground than doing the whole coach greet thing, that’s never really felt like “us”, all a bit contrived. Get the atmosphere going organically in the ground like we used to have at the old WHL and the new one on occasions (goons 3-0).

Imagine if they turned the crap music and fake piped crowd noise off and actually let this happen

Reckon we’ll score early, followed soon after Leeds going up 1-0. We’ll score early in the second. West Ham will get a late equaliser but overall a pretty straight forward day and we can all move on and pretend none of this ever happened.

Till it happens again next season, except Coventry are better than Burnley and we don't make it

Fudge me, that would be perfect but I don't see it going that way.

These final day scenarios seldom go the way of how you describe, and this is Spurs we are talking about who never take the easy route. That being said I hope you're bumping this prediction tomorrow evening :)....

I'm optimistic to a fault and I'm going to enjoy it. It's not often we have something to play for on the last day! Even if this time we'd rather not have it...

The last time we had something on the line in the last match was 2023 Sheffield United away to finish 5th, before that 2022 Norwich away to beat the Gooners to 4th, 2016 Saudi Sportswashing Machine away, 2013 home to Sunderland where it wasn't in our hands and before that 2006 away to West Ham (lasagna).

Overall we have a pretty decent record: https://thfcdb.com/matches?page=1&a...te_desc&selectedView=list&roundLeg=__active__
