***OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Woolwich***

Can put that all you want, not really a lot you can say in response. If Dele was playing for Chelsea, Arsenal or anyone else you’d be calling him a cheat, diver, and whatever else - but because he’s at our club it’s all just the media. The hypocrisy is embarrassing....

You are right, I would hate Dele if he was playing for another side. That because he's bloody good and has a nasty streak. We've needed a player like that for ages, a lack of that is why we were also-rans, we have several now and it's great.

Oh, come on, harr1984. Not again, please....

It's less than 24 hours after we won a vital 3 points against our bitter rivals yet instead of revelling in that you seem bent on doing your Jack Russell impression in yet another thread, snapping at the heels of those that don't share your view. I honestly don't know why you bother with Spurs forums sometimes as all you seem to want to do is criticise, making the same points ad nauseum. You can sometimes come across as the sort of bloke that could start a brawl in a monastary!! ;-) :)

You have a point of view, you share it. Surely that's the job done? Banging the same drum repeatedly won't bring people round to your way of thinking. If anything it'll have the opposite effect.

Do you actually read what’s going on or just pick up on certain posts? I had no intention of going on about it, it was another poster who replied to my post after the game. Funnily enough I hadn’t even given it a second thought after beating Arsenal so stop trying to make me out to be doing something I’m not. I replied to a post giving my opinion just like anyone else - I’m not asking anyone to come round to my way of thinking....

Just a shout out to the thing that I’ve seen watching our goal today plus the goals from the home win last season...Monreal always goes absolutely apebrick when we score and the best thing is all the goals are deserved. No refs can help him. His team mates won’t. He is just on the inferior side, but reacts with such hilarity on the times we score.

Huh? That’s a different discussion altogether. His nasty streak has nothing to do with his diving antics. He looks to be phasing it out so hopefully it becomes a moot point anyway...

Yeah, I read what's going on, thanks for asking.

Not going to bother replying in full as I don't want to be part of dragging another thread down with bickering. Life's too short.

They are part of the same thing, a desire to win. We have been too nice in the past and it has cost us. We are now doing what the other big clubs do and unsurprisingly, they don't like it.

I don’t know, diving to me goes beyond a desire to win a game it just doesn’t sit right with me. But I’m more concerned about how it affects the team as a whole with regards to getting decisions...

Have you seen yesterday's game yet? It didn't affect us at all.

I'd rather we didn't have to do it but the rest of our top six competitors do it relentlessly. I am fed up of us being cheated out of games. We have enough of a financial disadvantage already, overcoming a sportsmanship one as well seems insurmountable.

Why get upset about diving, it's part of the game as much of grabbing players and pushing. For years I've watched us being "Spurs" and skipping along with the also ran, now we have some cynical players who know how to win games, it's all very disturbing for the likes of Woolwich, United et al who have had thier own way for far to long. I'm going to enjoy it while it last and if we win sometime being nasty or lucky I couldn't care less.

No one gets upset when Dembele pulls a shirt or Kane goes in late, but diving...

Yeah of course, but we didn’t have any big decisions that needed to be made like penalty shouts etc really did we? What games have we been cheated out of in recent times? I don’t recall, but admittedly I don’t have best memory....

Ok fine, I’ll embrace it then. But then we can’t complain when the opposition does it either....
