One small but underrated problem with our play, which is increasingly clear, is that we *blindly* play out from the back a lot of the time.
A lot of the time, when a long ball comes in, the defenders just play head tennis even when not under pressure, heading it straight back to the opposition for no reason.
And, other times, we just clear it blindly into areas, without even looking - a prime example of that being Aurier's acrobatic half-clearance without looking that went straight to a Burnley player for their second goal.
We surrender possession far, far, far too often in dangerous areas doing that, and it baffles me as to why. Take a touch, bring it down, and get your head up. You're the more technically skilled team - why play at Burnley's level?
