We need to start thinking about winning games/trophys again and we should start in this game. Lets not mess about like we did against Fulham last year and send a strong team out to get a win[ some of the natives are getting restless about our form and we need a win to offset that.

Not saying we should not get our youngsters on the pitch but lets start out with a strong team get the lead and THEN give them a run.

I would rather start with some of the youngsters than watch us slowly build up to try and play the final ball through 5 defenders.

Well as they say its all about o pinions however we are badly in need of a win and lets get the game won and then send on the youngsters. We have all seen our team sent out with far too many changes in cup games over the years [ Fulham being a example last season] and it generally does not end well.

We really need to take the cups this years seriously and try to win something. imo

I agree we need a win, and I would get why we would send the same team back out to keep consistency. I just don't think it's the same as in the past letting finge players get their 8th or 9th chance to impress. Bergvall and Gray have both looked impressive when they have played as has Dragusin.

I think the current lot of youngsters are far more capable and confident than what we've had before. Imo they were far better than the "1st team" in pre season. Much more on the front foot, better movement and just looked like they enjoyed it. If they show half of that, they'll beat Coventry easily. Spence, Gray, Bergvall, Odobert and Moore should all get a lot of minutes in that game. Mix that with Reguilon, Dragusin, Solanke, Werner and Sarr, and it should be plenty.

Isn't it worrying that the youngsters look far better than the '1st team'? I mean, maybe one or two players, sure but so many at once?

It worries me that the longer players spend playing for Ange so few actually look like they improve/enjoy playing...

His expected return date was the weekend just gone, so he should be back for this unless he's had a relapse. It was only a minor hammy, nearly a month ago.

He'd still be more effective than Werner though - one hamstring or two
