OMT: Manure vs Mighty Spurs

All the hype about no signings. Moura is the stelar signing, but he's match sharp, with the 6 months getting settled in the country and team.
 
For the first half hour, United were excellent, really turbo charged, biting into tackles, beating us to every ball, 100mph.

We were lucky to get in at 0-0 and I feared the worst.

Then of course we got a corner and it was game over, BOSH! Very nice Harry, De Gea just stood and watched, mouth agape.


MoM was Moura and Toby, also Dembele and Jan.... Eriksen was average i.e. as bad as he ever gets, and we still won away, great stuff!

They gave it everything, but EVERYTHING was about breaking any rhythm we had, it was only half a game plan.

We werent, really. On balance had more clear cut chances IMHO. Their best chance was gifted to them by Rose (which to be fair, should have been scored.)

I don’t remember that many chances for them in the first half apart from Lukaku’s. I know they pressed well.

We had the pen, 2 great openings for Dele and Eriksens miss hit shot. Not open goals I know, but don’t remember too much clear cut for them.

Still on pundit-fests and podcasts when the 'experts' talk about contenders for the title we are hardly ever mentioned. Long may it continue.

Kane’s header?

On their side both Lukaku’s chances came off our players, so it’s not like they tore us apart. They threw a lot at us at 2 0 and like Jose himself said if they’d got one it would have been game on..the key thing was we were resilient and had the counter attack to kill them off with Moura.
