Yeah, my bad, there were so many articles about him going on loan, I guess I just figured it had happened ..
 
I will be nice to have a Defence of players in their natural positions. Davies did well whilst covering. But either Romero of Dragusin will be playing.

We are super light in Midfield. Need another body in there that is for sure.

This is from the official site, talking about Maddison and Romero :
However, despite their progress in their rehabilitation from those injuries, Ange has confirmed that this Sunday's trip to Manchester United will come too soon for both of them with our number 10 still working in his own individual sessions while Cuti has just rejoined the first team squad sessions this week.
"Madders - no. He is still training individually," Ange confirmed. "Cuti has just joined back in with the team so fair to say he's kind of the next one to sort to get close to being a part of it."

So it's not as direct a 'no' as when he speaks about Maddison. Maybe there's a slither of a possibility of a place on the bench. But I suspect that's just me reading more into it, kind of looking for clues after the way he unexpectedly sprung Bentancur's return on us :)

Then in the article the writer says romero is out and then the quotes from ange in that article doesn’t say either way 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ange's pressa today he said Romero is back training with the group, but only just.
I suspect with Davies out we'll have to go with VDV at CB alongside Royal, and then see how much VDV has in the tank, with Dragusin coming on around 70mins if needed and then Romero for an emergency situation.
