Oliver Skipp

Thought the lad had a great game in pre-season against Juve I think. Was MOTM. Obviously pre-season isn't the same as the PL but given that he's 19 and Wanyama looks about as mobile and useful as me, I think Poch should be giving Skipp some minutes.
 
I agree. I prefer to see our Youth come through and given a chance than hang on to players on the downward momentum or just signing another body for the sake of it.

I always ignore performances of young players in pre-season as typically they are playing at 100% while first team type players are playing at about 50% Skipp needs to be getting minutes out on loan somewhere and we need to be finding a proper first team defensive minded midfield in January (even if it is just a temporary patch fix)

What sort of role was he playing? Sitting in front of back 4, getting forward into final third, controlling game with his passing? I like the look of him, and am intrigued to see exactly what kind of player he is going to turn into.

I agree about Winks, he is beginning to look the player he looked when he first broke into the team. He has had a bad time with injurys so slipped back a bit but he is showing that he is getting fit again.

And as you say a loan move for Skipp could be a good move for both him ,ad the club.
