I’m rather enjoying the grotesquerie, especially Brian. Diane Morgan was criminally underused in the first two, so it’s good to see her given more to do. We’re only halfway though, if it was the denouement that particularly annoyed you.

I agree, Brian and Kath are the best 2 characters. But Brian in particular is incongruous, the grossness of his character was hilarious to a point, but its been so stepped up in S3 its jarring.

Echo this. I’ve described it as a guilty pleasure but that’s probably not doing it justice as there has been plenty of thought in adding back stories and developing the characters.

it really is last season was rushed though in my opinion and didn’t live up to the rest.

but they are all evil and you don’t feel affinity to any of them. Just when you start to they, do some more evil sh'it that reminds you you shouldn’t

Same. Only up to episode six, but my main gripe is that it lacks a sense of place. I suppose that backdrop-establishing scenes like the summer folk partying and the floating church were tricky to do under covid restrictions, but there’s nothing very Ozark about it any more.
 
Making my way through Succession series 3 at the moment.

It's great as always but I'm beginning to wonder if it's the same old scenes with different wallpaper. The plot line, dynamics, twists etc.

Still brilliantly written. Think Roman is definitely my favourite.

Think a lot of people felt that for the first half of this season (I did) but the climax of S3 is the climax of the show so far I'd say. Acting goes up another level somehow.
