**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Matt Le Tissier made a return to his playing days by turning out for Guernsey, but was unable to stop his side losing 4-2 at Colliers Wood.

The Southampton legend came off the bench in the second half after signing playing forms at the club where he is honorary president, to help with their incredible fixture list which sees the club in the middle of 20 games in 36 days.

The current model in Germany seems to be working for them so I don't see why they need to emulate the PL. If anything we should adopt their style...

Safe standing areas
Affordable ticket prices
50% fan ownership
Respect between fans & police
Quality food and beer freely available

sorry chap, there is no way the money making juggernaut that is the PL would countenance such changes.... far, far too fan friendly. Safe standing areas? Noooo, they don't command premium 'seat' prices, Affordable tickets? Stuff that, when there are tourists from Asia and Russia willing to pay astronomical amounts for a ticket from which to take photos to load up to Facebook to show their mates? Don'tr be silly. 50% fan ownership? I wish... say there are 80,000 real Spurs fans out there.... we'd all have to cough up £2500 each to buy half of Spurs on the basis it is worth £400M... 3 of those fans are in my household, and on the basis that I have to pay for everything still... that's £7500 that I don't have. Respect between fans and the police? Hmmm Quality food and Beer... what's wrong with warm Carlsberg tinkle for heavens sake???:)

Have you ever been to a German game?

The food is not quality... its at best on par ith premier league dog food and there is no respect for the police more a mutual fear. but it is the best place to watch footy IMO and all the other thing are very valid

Hopefully this game last night put to bed the idea that the false no.9 is the way forward. Who the fudge wants to watch teams with no strikers when you've got players like Lewandowski? Attacking play is what makes football great, not hogging the ball for 90 minutes and only having 5 shots on goal.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will rotate squad against Arsenal

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will shuffle his pack when he takes the newly crowned Premier League champions to Arsenal on Sunday.

Ferguson revealed Jonny Evans and Michael Carrick both played with injuries in Monday's 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, as United clinched their 20th top-flight title.

Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are poised to return at the heart of the defence, while Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Nani may also feature at Emirates Stadium.

Looking back on the title win, Ferguson said: "Two of the players played with an injury throughout the game. Jonny Evans and Michael Carrick.

"Next week, I should have Vida and Rio back and I can put Jones into the middle of the pitch and play Vida and Rio together and we'll get the experience going to Arsenal.

"A lot of younger players, the ones who have been on the fringes for the last few weeks, and I desperately want them to feel their contribution has been big.

"Chicharito, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Nani - I think it's important to get them involved in the last few weeks."

With Jones is midfield?

The guy who bossed Real Madrid at the Bernebeau from midfield? Yeah, him.

.........................de Gea...................
Rafael.....Ferdinand......Vidic......Evra
................Jones.....Cleverly..............
Nani..............Kagawa............Welbeck
...................Hernandez.....................

I don't see how that team can't beat Arsenal. But whatever. I'm sure Arsenal will win 4-0 and go on to get 2nd place.

I always find it hard to judge how good Jones is as a footballer.

There's just something so horrendously ugly about him it's hard to see past it. Massive bellend as well.
