My word. fudging class. Everything a blues album should be, BB King is the Don.

Brilliant record. I picked up a live Chess records vinyl a few weeks back. Howling Wolf, Buddy Guy, Sonny Boy Williamson and Muddy Waters from a blues festival in the early sixties, all for £2.99. Unbelievable

Thanks to facebook and this random group where people from in and around my hometown are selling stuff I found a christmas flea market close to work. He advertised that he sold vinyl, so I need to pop in for a look. He also promised everybody who visited a christmas gift!

Luuuurvely! I'm guessing you'll have heard of it but one of my favourite live blues/jazz records would be Nighthawks at Diner, by Tom Waits. Awesome album.

It's almost been a week since he passed but I only heard the yesterday, very sad news that Dave Brubeck has died, a day before his 92nd Birthday. An astonishing musician. It is a shame many won't have heard what he was able to do bar 15 seconds on an advert.

Great first album, shame he lost whatever made him feel those songs.

Hadn't realised until today just how much The Red Hot Chili Peppers lifted from Frank Zappa, the whole basis to their early sound.

Just noticed Somebody That I Used To Know is nominated for record of the year at the upcoming Grammys. Didn't that song come out in 2011?

Australia/New Zealand July 2011, December 2011 in the UK and January 2012 in the US and Ireland.

New Bowie song. Dark and sad and beautiful and about Berlin. As to be expected, not quite what anyone would expect.
