Not sure where the TV thread has gone, so apologies, but I just have to call out The Sinner (Bill Pullman) as some of the best TV I've seen in years. I missed it first time (4 seasons 2016-2021) but season 3 (sequential watching is not vital) is one of the more brilliant seasons of TV I've watched. Talk about touching the existential void within the remit of a detective show!!!!

I watched Mr Mercedes season 1 at weekend, very gory start but found it really good........Gleesons acting is top rate.

Have a funny story about him - I was working in my local pub straight out of uni and it was located five mins from the Harry Potter Studios where they were filming one of the films.

It was about 11.30am on a week day, St Patrick’s Day no less, and I was down changing the barrels before the lunch rush. I came back upstairs to the bar and who should be sitting there but Brendan Gleeson! All I could simply say is “Ah, it’s Brendan Gleeson!” to which he replied “What’s your name?” and after I confirmed, he said “Dave, nice to meet you” and shook my hand.

I proceeded to serve him Guinness all day. It was his last day of filming so he was there with the crew and then he gave me a whacking great tip - £20 was a lot to me back then! - when he settled his tab, before staggering out and into a cab a few hours later.

A:I, 28 Days Later, Harry Potter, In Bruges, The Guard, Calvary, Banshees of Inisherin, drinks in The Unicorn pub - the man can do no wrong in my eyes! Love him.
