*** Official Film Thread ***

I do not come in this thread often but we watched one of the wifes art house type films tonight, called dreams of a life. Is about a woman who died in her flat and is not found for 3 years, does not sound good from that i know but seriously guys give it a go. Really powerful movie and i usually hate this sort of movies.

Wow just wow not felt like this after a movie in a long time.

Nice shout. Will try and find it.....

Midnight in Paris - any good?

Someone on here raved about it - just wanna make sure it wasnt Jellyhead of Linnet

Safe - Typical Statham movie, lots of good action and little substance, enjoyed it.

Dark Shadows - Thought it was utter brick.

Just finished watching Midnight in Paris

Its totally not the type of movie I would normally watch but I did actually enjoy it. 7/10.

I thought the 1920s chick was hot. Rachel McAdams is always fudgeable also.

1920s chick, must have been Marion Cotillard

She is stunningly beautiful. Never seen her before.

Its all in the eyes. She is basically asking me to come to her and fudge her.

I dont look at her and say to myself "I wanna fudge her". I look at her and just want to cuddle her and kiss her. She is pure marriage material.

Yeah it was me with Midnight in Paris, love that film. I'm a big fan of Woody Allen's and was not disappointed with that one, when even his biggest fan can admit some of his releases haven't been up to the standard we know he is capable of.

Normally I'm a bit of a film nazi, and as upon first glance it's essentially a bit of a romantic comedy I had kind of dismissed it before watching it, but upon viewing I was proved completely wrong. Much more depth than I thought there'd be. The soundtrack, the locations, the humour, the acting, it's just a beautiful film. Glad it won an Oscar. I really should stop talking about this film on this thread though, think half the posts on here are me rambling on about that film...Carla Bruni in that film may be my ideal wife. Great film to put on if you are entertaining a lovely female (or male for that matter).

Ahh youre a big cuddly romantic at heart huh

I havent seen any Woody Allen films (none that im aware he has made anyways) and it was surprising that I had enjoyed it. Dont normally watch those kind of movies but Owen Wilson kinda got me to it (as i like his acting).

Its definitely one on my entertaining a female list.

have either of you seen 500 days of Summer ? that's another pretty decent movie which is a bit of chick flick/rom com at heart

Yeah

I loved it. I thought it was very very good. A tear or two in my eye also - I AM NOT ASHAMED TO fudgeIN ADMIT.

Now wheres the hardcore porn

500 Days Of Summer was excellent! The expectations/reality splitscreen scene was very realistic as well. I like films like that are more like actual real life rather than the usual dross that rom coms generally are.

I did see it, enjoyed the film, Zooey whatsherface is also a very attractive lady. I was a bit confused by the end though, with the bit on the bench, thought it was a tad unneccessary and harsh from the female character.

A rather good scene.

Finally a rom com (if you can call it that) that shows the girl to be a dingdong and not the other way round.

Just watched the Gringo - 8/10.

Mel gibson may not be the best person in the world (dont know too much about that) but the guy does make some pretty damn good movies. I enjoyed that a lot.

I encourage EVERYONE to watch it.
