I'm a bit over RDJ too if im being honest. Think he's just playing himself in a suit in Iron Man/Avengers. He was very good in Zodiac though. Very good film, has probably the best slasher scene caught on film IMO.

I don't like the way he/the filmmakers try and make him take over the Avengers film. As the honest trailer says, he's a secondary Marvel character, Hulk, Spiderman and X-Men are far more well-known than Iron Man.

I can see that no one in here reads Marvel comics, as the comments on Iron Man are massively incorrect.

And if you don't like the Marvel films then you clearly are not a fan of well made, very good blockbuster films.

I don't read the comics, I go to watch a film that will entertain me and I thought that Iron Man 3 was disappointing. I enjoyed other films; primarily Avengers and Iron Man, the first one. I think the other comic book movies are largely disappointing, well outside of the Batman series, and in my mind, I only really like Scott Pilgrim, the latest Judge Dredd and Blade as comic book movies... although, I know there will be those named which I'll admit to enjoying, it's just that I can't think of them at the moment.

Crow?
Hellboy?
Kick Ass?

I've just watched Battleship and....I can't believe I'm going to say this but I liked it!

It's mind-on-shut-down popcorn nothingness but it entertained me nicely for 1.5+ hours.

Oldboy, A History Of Violence, Sin City, V For Vendetta, Road To Perdition... Quite surprising how many movies are based upon comics!

some good movies in that list - although from an outsiders perspective id say there seems to be a bit of a difference between superhero comics and more adult graphic novels(which the better of the movies on the list tend to be based on)

super hero movies aren't generally my thing, the recent bunch released over the past 10 years or so have been carbon copy big budget blockbuster by numbers, from my experience.

liked The Watchmen and the Nolan Batmans though

Star Trek Into Darkness was awesome! Just as good as the first one, if not better.

Glad to hear it! I'm going to the midnight screening at Waterloo IMAX

Only problem is we're going to be stuck in London afterwards until the first train home at 05:30 so might end up spending a load of money at a casino, as too old to go clubbing and not sure about which bars are worth going to after 3am :-k

I really like Shoreditch. Don't really like drinking in Central.

Prometheus is the Sky Premiere this week.

Wasnt too impressed first time around (cant beleive it was nearly a year ago), prepared to give it another go today

I found it even worse on repeat viewing as you don't quite get the full effect of the impressive visuals on the small screen.
